| MICHAEL SKOTTE is a songwriter, musician and producer from Copenhagen, Denmark. For the past 10 years Michael has been involved with several Danish bands in diverse genres such as pop, pop rock, folk-rock, and fusion rock. 1993 - 1998 : Michael played guitar and was the songwriter for the band LEGEND with whom he released the album THE VERY FIRST in march 1995.The album got very good reviews , It was awarded with 5 stars in the British magazine KERRANG , and the single LISTEN TO YOUR HEART got quit a lot of airplay. LEGEND worked with METALLICA producer FLEMMING RASMUSSEN on the 2.nd album but before it was finished the band split up. 1998 .. 2001 : Michael played with the folk-rock band DE..FINE CEILIDH , again as the songwriter and guitarist but this time also as keyboard player and singer as well as arranger. The album SANKT CECILIE NAT was released February 2001 and introduces Michael as producer as well as sound engineer. This album received excellent reviews and the band played a lot of folk festivals in Germany, Denmark and Belarus but split up when Michael decided to make his own project 2001 .. 2004 : After building a small studio Michael invented the duo THE PLAYMATES. The cd CONCEPT BEHAVIOUR was finished in January 2003.the album contains a good mixture of heartfelt ballads with an acoustic touch as well as up-tempo songs that are sure to make you want to dance! The style is melodic pop/rock with emphasis on the good melody combined with poetic and meaningful lyrics, interesting arrangements and great musical as well as personal performances.
